Riva Selegg Egg Grader for Victorian Free Range Egg Producer

In 2019, Milawa Free Range Poultry, located in the Milawa Gourmet Region of North East Victoria, Australia, took delivery of a Riva Selegg S61 egg grader (SX Model).

The S61 model has a capacity to grade 6,000 eggs per hour, across 2 feeding lanes. The machine features 7 weight classes that can be selected to grade the eggs. Like all of the Riva Selegg Egg Graders, the machine is completely mechanical, constructed in stainless steel, and allows for years of service with a minimum of maintenance.

Milawa Free Range Poultry allows their hens to roam free from early morning light to dusk, foraging on certified organic pasture and vegetarian feed. The farm is a small-scale operation that also produces free range and organic birds, capped at 1000 birds a week. Their chicken is a favourite with the chefs, and is known to be “meaty with a gutsy flavour”.
